1. What gets remodeled the most?

According to research,  the kitchen is the most part of the house that gets remodeled/renovated, as well as the most expensive one. Remodeling includes revamping cabinetry, countertops, tiles,  appliances, and lights that can be controlled by voice command.  Kitchen redos are so popular for a valid reason. The kitchen is the most used room, where everyone congregates and meets. Kitchen renovation adds a lot of value to a house. There are other ways to upgrade your kitchen start with;

  • Kitchen cabinets

Kitchen cabinets make up a large portion of your kitchen, so changing up this one element can make a big difference in the look and functionality of your space. Although a kitchen redo can get expensive, the payoff can be up to a 60% return on investment when it comes time to sell. However, not everyone is looking to spend so much but still hopes to create a new look with minimal changes, so instead of completely replacing your cabinets,  you can refinish, repaint, or have the hardware replaced.

  • Kitchen appliances

Another way to revamp your kitchen is through new appliances which can add both style and functionality to your kitchen.

  • Kitchen surfaces

Updating your kitchen surfaces such as the backsplash behind your stove and countertops, or replacing the countertops themselves can refresh your entire kitchen.

  • Kitchen lighting

A major upgrade of a kitchen can be done through lights. A well-lit kitchen can bring out specific design elements, which serve a functional purpose.  One way of upgrading sustainably is by switching to LED lighting. LED lighting is far more efficient. According to research, residential LED lighting has the potential to use up to 75% less energy and last 25 times longer than traditional incandescent lighting.

2. What’s the first thing you should know when remodeling your kitchen?

Any kind of remodeling comes with benefits and headaches to consider. Start by asking yourself what persistent problems you experience with your current kitchen, and when you decide to remodel your kitchen, the first thing you want to think about is solving these problems; either by hiring a professional contractor which is expensive, or tackling the work yourself which is very time-consuming. Set a budget of how much are you looking to spend since remodeling can be very expensive and yet unavoidable. A new kitchen will make your home more livable, and it will increase the equity value of your real estate. In addition,  the kitchen is where your family meets and congregates after a long day, and it will be the focus of your family life and the center of your social gatherings, it is the room you generally use most, which can grow outdated fairly quickly. Remodeling your kitchen is most certainly a project worth the time, money, and effort. To avoid being overwhelmed, understand the steps that go into the process before you begin. A great new kitchen if it’s done right, will last you a lifetime.

3. What are some sustainable kitchen appliances to consider?

  Some of the sustainable kitchen appliances that got high heat at KBIS were Kohler’s touchless kitchen faucets that bring a new level of convenience to the kitchen.

 Another is Miele’s Generation 7000 convection oven with a FoodView, a built-in camera in the oven cavity.

PuriCare Aero Tower air purifying fan is an All-in-One Solution to Indoor Air Quality that gathers an array of air quality data that can then view via the device’s LCD screen.

 Natufia Smart Garden and its latest technology and product development, and the brand new product Natufia One were the talk of the town with their pure and freshly harvested greens and their design that integrates seamlessly into any décor.

In addition Signature Kitchen Suite’s wine refrigerator, a Wine Cave Technology, which minimizes vibration, and temperature fluctuations, limits light exposure, and optimizes humidity, protecting collections from wine’s most damaging elements.
